In fashion stripes are everywhere - here we have combined the daytime image with a sunset image taken at the southernmost tip of mainland Australia. The original images are simple but beautiful beach pictures and this scarf has become unique variation on the stripes theme. The smooth undulations of the sand merge with the waves. Wilsons Promontory National Park on a peninsula southeast of Melbourne is known for its pristine beaches. It is the southern most point on the Australian mainland. \n \nTouch the Silk…View the Art… Share The Story….“The artwork for our silk scarf collection is re-living our photography in a fresh way. Using a variety of techniques our challenge is to create a captivating image, often from nature’s details, that looks beautiful as a scarf.” \n \nTHIS PURE SILK CHIFFON SCARF ( AWTA Tested as 100% Silk and colourfast ) is 8mm (35gms per square metre) which is slightly heavier with superior colour and durability than the standard 6mm (26gms per square metre). Silk Twill (12mm: 52gms per square metre ) and Silk Tabi (5mm:22gms per square metre) are very different in weight, touch, sheen and feel. \nINCLUDED WITH YOUR SCARF: Designed Bluyonda box with magnetic lid / Tag with story about the image / Tag with history of Silk and Artist's resume. \nFINISH: Neat machine hemmed. \n \nTHE SILK STORY: Silk is known as the Queen of fabrics: Natural sheen that never diminishes/ soft, light and luxurious / Cool in Summer – Warm in Winter/ Absorbing perspiration yet letting skin breathe/ Promoting skin rejuvenation/ Hypoallergenic/ Eco-Friendly/ Biodegradable/ Easily Washed/ Great tensile strength and durability. \nConfucius and Chinese legend narrate that around 3000BC the 14 year old Empress Leizu, wife of the Yellow Emperor, discovered Silk when a cocoon fell into her tea cup.She then developed the art of raising silk worms (Sericulture) and became known as the Goddess of Silk in Chinese Mythology. Being an exquisite, precious fibre, for many millennia, it was one of the most zealously guarded secrets in history. \n \nCARE: Enjoy your silk garment - our printing techniques produce colours that will not run or fade. With fundamental care, this silk scarf will maintain it’s vibrant colours and quality ‘Silk’ feel for many years. As Silk is a natural fibre avoid drying in direct sunlight. Also, avoid contact with bleaches or solvents with alcohol such as some hairsprays. \nHAND WASHING: Preferred: Use lukewarm water and a mild non-alkaline soap such as baby shampoo. Avoid soaking and rinse with a few tablespoons of distilled white vinegar added to the clear water. Avoid wringing or twisting and roll in a towel then hang to dry. Avoid using dryers. \nIRONING: Most wrinkles can be removed by hanging the scarf in the shower and letting humidity work. While the scarf is hanging a steam iron can be used carefully avoiding wetting locally. If necessary use a cool iron setting (Silk Setting) on the back of the damp scarf - avoid too much heat. \n \nSHIPPING: Free Delivery with tracking by Australia Post or Courier. \n \nRETURNS and EXCHANGES: If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product, you may return it within 14 business days for a full refund. \n \nSKU: BYCH016 / Images©Dallas and John Heaton. \nCreated and designed in Geelong, Australia.
